French Validation of the Life Engagement Test Scale

Background: The Life Engagement Test was developed by Scheier et al. (2006) to assess individuals' engagement in life through the importance they give their goals. purpose of this article is present French validation (LET-F). Methods: LET first translated into using back translation method. version then offered 479 people aged 13 72. All them responded 6 items questionnaire on a 5-point Likert scale. Nomological validity performed questionnaires from original version: Satisfaction with Scale, Generalized Self-Efficacy Scale and Hospital Anxiety Depression Scale. Results: Confirmatory factor analysis validates unidimensionality Multi-group invariance analyses also show for gender but not age. Finally, nomological satisfactory comparable version. Conclusion: (LET-F) an instrument sufficient psychometric qualities be used clinical or research settings. For clinicians, LET-F can as tool patient's aftermath events such illness grief. researchers, given brevity questionnaire, it easily combined other instruments, thus allowing broad-spectrum investigations well-being behaviors.
